Must Have Cases For The Motorola Droid X
The Motorola Droid X offers many different choices for cases. These choices include skins, leather, zippered cases, work cases, clear plastic coatings, screen protectors and flip cases. Skins are choices that are light weigt. Leather and harder plastic cases will add to the weight of your phone, but provide additional protection.
If you like having a light weight cover that will protect the exterior of your Droid and prevent the screen from being scratched when you lay it down, a skin is for you. A skin does not cover the screen, but will prevent it from laying directly on a surface that could scratch it. Skins are easy to install and come in assorted colors. You can purchase a flexible plastic skin such as the Mobi Products Skin Case which also makes your Droid X easier to grip. Seidio's Interactive Active case features a harder plastic at the corners and base of your phone. All of these skins have built-in cut-outs for full access to all of the ports, camera, and rest of the features.
If you want a leather case to wrap your phone in, you have a number of choices. Leather constructed cases can open at the top like a holster. Your phone just slips in the case and is protected in case of falls or other damage. The top loading case comes with a belt clip on some models such as the one made by Smartphone. If you want a leather case that flips open so you can use your Droid without taking the case off, Krusell's Orbit Flex leather case lets you do exactly that.
